Safe Work Procedures
Safe Work Procedures are documented procedures for using for different equipment and machinery in Men’s Sheds to reduce the likelihood of an injury by ensuring that members know how to work safely when carrying out tasks.
Below are a range of Safe Work Procedures (SWP) that should meet the needs of the majority of Men’s Sheds which were prepared by Frontline Safety and Training (now WorkSafe).
There is no charge for these SWPs, we only ask that the documents are not modified.
They are ideally suited to be placed above or adjacent to the piece of equipment in a hard /ridged plastic holder.
There is also a Risk Assessment form where Men’s Sheds can do their own risk assessment on any task they wish to undertake.
Sheds are advised to go to the Department of Commerce, WorkSafe WA website and download a risk assessment table to assist with the completion were required.
