All Men’s Sheds need to ensure you have adequate insurance.
Making sure you have adequate safety rules in your Shed and that all your equipment is operating optimally is vital for a healthy Shed but it is also important that all Sheds have adequate insurance. You may require a range of insurances to protect the organisation and its volunteers. Insurance can provide a level of protection for public liability, personal accident, financial losses to committee members or officers and/or loss of income for volunteers as a result of an injury.

The most recent pricing we have is from 2022, which was $35.75 + membership subscription of $2.25 per Men’s Shed member. Their website directs Sheds to the 2024/2025 pricing, which is obtainable after completing an online form here.
Elders are primarily, but not exclusively, a country Shed insurer, and due to the wide variety of circumstances that country Sheds operate under, one price for all Sheds was not available. The company advised that a quote would be provided once contact with them was made from the individual Shed.
