Men’s Sheds of WA will be holding its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 2 November 2023 at the University Club, UWA at 4.30pm. Please see Agenda here.

At the AGM Members will be asked to pass a special resolution approving the amended Rules of Association of Men’s Sheds of WA (Rules).

The Rules of Association of Men’s Sheds of WA have been reviewed and amended by MinterEllison to: 

  1. provide the Association with greater flexibility to engage with other community groups that also focus on men’s health and for the inclusion of Community Sheds; 
  2. contemplate other classes of membership, namely Associate Members; 
  3. include provisions governing payments to Board members which align with the Associations Incorporation Act 2015 (WA); 
  4. set the minimum number of Board members required by the Rules to four Board members; 
  5. align provisions relating to the election and tenure of Board members with the current practice of the Association, including distinguishing between Elected and Independent Board members; and 
  6. and ensure the Rules are internally consistent with both the current practice of the Association and with the Associations Incorporation Act 2015 (WA).

Please ensure you have read and understood the proposed Rules prior to the AGM on 2 November 2023.
