Bill Johnstone, Citizen of the Year

The Community Citizen of the Year Awards profile leading citizens who are role models and who inspire us with their achievements and challenge us to make our own contribution to creating a better community.
Our Senior Men’s Shed Advisor, Bill Johnstone was nominated for the Citizen of the Year awards in the Senior Citizenship Award category for his contribution to the community, which includes his involvement in the Fremantle Community Men’s Shed.
We know Bill as the grandfather of Men’s Sheds in WA. He has helped many Sheds become established.
Bill was honoured with an award on Australia Day by Dr Brad Pettitt, Mayor of the City of Fremantle.
