Augusta Men's Shed

Shed Information

Our shed has been operating for over 10 years now. Our purpose is to foster and promote the physical and mental wellbeing of members by providing an environment where practical skills may be acquired or enhanced through the medium of hobbies, workshop and social activities.

We achieve this through regular sessions at the shed where members are encouraged to join us for morning tea and/or work on community fund raising projects or their own projects. Our current membership of over 100 has a diverse range of skills from woodworking, metal working electrical, computer, metal art and social. We also hold community workshops once a week to engage with other community members, particularly our very keen community ladies.

We specialise in woodwork, metal fabrication, precision machining and tractor restoration. One of our current larger projects is the restoration of a Ferguson TEA20 tractor kindly donated to the shed as a fundraising activity for mechanically orientated members. This has been a huge success with many members pitching in to help with their particular skill sets.

Thursday mornings are our community days. Women and other community members who aren’t members of the men’s shed are welcome to join us.
