Men’s Sheds are a modern version of the shed in the backyard that has long been a part of the Australian culture. Traditionally, this is where men retreat to when they need time to themselves so they can think and / or create. Each Men Shed provides opportunity for men to contribute to each other and to their communities through learning, sharing skills, making friends and participating in Men Shed projects. Many men may not have the resources or skills to set up their own shed. Your local Men Shed can provide an opportunity to use a variety of equipment, learn new skills and expand your network of friends. Annual membership fee $100 Daily attendance fee $3

Our shed provides opportunity for men to use a variety of equipment, learn new skills and make new friends.  Our shed is well equipped for members interested in metal work and wood work. We also do minor car repairs and collect and cut firewood for people in the community.

We specialise in making bird feeders, possum boxes, windmills, weather vanes and wishing wells but we can turn our hands and tools to just about anything.

Our shed is a collection point for Containers for Change on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 08.30am to 1.00pm. Bulk deliveries on request and after a booking (manpower). Most funds from C4C goes back into our local community or regional services such as RFDS or Cancer research.

We operate as a Road safety rest stop on most long weekends and during other community events.

Our shed was built in the late 1950s but has been decked out with the latest refinements and equipment. We have a very comfortable clubroom with modern kitchen facilities. Our members are very active and proactive and our shed supports that with fully equipped metal and wood working spaces for members to work on their own projects or shed projects. Members often take part in furniture restoration and tractor repairs.

We sponsor such groups as Roshana Aged Care and ACTIV on a regular basis. We regularly host country medical students and the local church groups on the first Sunday of each month (morning tea and savouries).

We specialise in making hat and coat racks, cutting and chopping boards, planter boxes, lazy susans and grazing boards but we can make almost anything on request.
